In 1964 Spherical Dynamics founder Michael Sturm began working with different types of cognitive and emotional assessments. Since then, Mike has refined and honed his approach to the field, creating a unique portfolio of tools based on over 21 years of research and testing.

Nearly everyone who completes Spherical Dynamics' short exercise is amazed at the accuracy of its results. There is no magic or mystery to its precision. Unlike typical tools that are based on psychological or personality constructs, Spherical Dynamics measures behavior as it pertains to applications in business.

The process is derived from Michael Sturm's unique synthesis of business application needs, human systems theory and the Gestalt Success/Satisfaction framework.

Ongoing Testing and Validation

Spherical Dynamics' products are based upon more than 20 years of research and development, and 15 years of application. The result is a unique portfolio of tools that have been researched, tested and continually improved over two decades. The evaluation and tools have been used with more than 10,000 employees of companies such as IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation, Pfizer, Hewlett Packard, Liberty Mutual Life Insurance, Xerox Corporation, Sheraton International, Seagate Software, Veritas, Security Plastics, the American Cancer Society, and Kinkos. Educational institutions such as the University of Maine, University of Massachusetts, State of Maine Education department and the State of Massachusetts Education Department have also used the assessment, as well as the State of New York.

Spherical Dynamics is committed to ongoing testing and validation of its products. Heading this effort is Spherical Dynamics' Director of Research.
